Pretenders
NME等のライターをしていたクリッシー・ハインドがプロデューサー、クリス・トーマス（エルトン・ジョン、ロキシー・ミュージック、セックス・ピストルズ）のアドヴァイスを受けバンド活動を開始。 78年、プリテンダーズを結成。80年満を持してリリースされたデビュー・アルバム『愛しのキッズ』が全英No.1、全米No.9・・・
NME等のライターをしていたクリッシー・ハインドがプロデューサー、クリス・トーマス（エルトン・ジョン、ロキシー・ミュージック、セックス・ピストルズ）のアドヴァイスを受けバンド活動を開始。78年、プリテンダーズを結成。80年満を持してリリースされたデビュー・アルバム『愛しのキッズ』が全英No.1、全米No.9と世界的に大ヒットし、80年代の幕開けとともに、一躍トップ・バンドにのし上がる。その後も着実にヒット・ソングを生み出しチャートの常連バンドとして活動を続ける。2005年にはロックの殿堂入りも果たしている。 度重なるメンバー後退を重ねることになるが、バンドの顔「クリッシー・ハインド」は常にフィーメール・ロッカーのアイコンとして君臨。動物愛護者としても活動。ブラーのデーモン、スパイス・ガールズなどの若手アーティストとの交流も深い。
