~藍のあるくらし~ 本藍染 藍染工房 瑠璃玉 ~Ai no Aru Kurashi~ Life with Indigo~ Hon Aizome Aizome Studio Ruridama
瑠璃玉の藍染は「天然灰汁発酵建て」といい、江戸時代からの伝統技法を守り、化学染料や化学薬品は一切使用しない、自然な染料です。商品は手絞り・手染めの一点ものです。工房は東京都昭島市にあります。昭島は水道水を100％地下水で賄っていたり、「東京都の名湧水57選」に2つの湧水が選ばれている「水のまち」です。
天然灰汁発酵建てには水はとても大切で、「良い水」が「良い藍」を育み、「良い色」を生み出します。
1984年から昭島で藍染を始めたのも、良い水を求めてのことです。

Ruridama's indigo dyeing is called “Natural Lye Fermentation Dyeing,” which preserves the traditional technique from the Edo period and does not use any chemical dyes or chemicals. Products are one-of-a-kind, hand-dyed and hand-squeezed. The workshop is located in Akishima City, Tokyo. Akishima is a “city of water,” with 100% of its tap water supplied by groundwater and two springs selected as one of the “57 Best Springs in Tokyo.
Water is very important for natural lye fermentation construction, and “good water” nurtures “good indigo” and produces “good color.
We started indigo dyeing in Akishima in 1984 because of the search for good water.
Now, as we feel and enjoy the changing of the seasons, please enjoy the indigo dyeing of Ruritama, a genuine indigo dyeing company from Akishima, which focuses on the unique indigo color and natural vinous materials that are gentle to the skin B1F Event Space
