村上木彫堆朱は木地に彫刻をして漆を塗った艶消し仕上げが特徴の漆器です。創業者は木地師として村上木彫堆朱に関わり100年余り、職人と共に村上木彫堆朱の技を受け継いできました。木と漆という天然の素材を生かし、その時代に必要とされるものを製作しています。漆器は日常つかいにも適していると考えています。時代が求めるもの、木地師の技を生かしたもの、常に職人の技を現代に生かせるデザインを心がけ、木の力、漆の力を生かし「漆器のある暮らし」を伝えていきたいと思います。私たちが製作した物は、ひとりひとりにとっては唯一無二という思いで日々製作しています。

Murakami Mokibori Tsuishu is a type of lacquerware characterized by a matte finish carved into the wood and coated with lacquer. The founder has been involved in Murakami Mokibori Tsuishu for over 100 years as a wood carver, and has passed down the techniques of Murakami Mokibori Tsuishu together with its craftsmen. We make the best use of natural materials such as wood and lacquer to produce what is needed of the time. We believe that lacquerware is suitable for daily use. We are always trying to create designs that meet the needs of the times, that utilize the skills of the wood craftsmen, and that bring the craftsmen's skills to life in the modern age. We produce our products every day with the thought that each one of our products is unique to each of us.
